USERS OUTSIDE THE GEOGRAPHICAL LIMITS OF INDIA

Please note that the data shared with Sociallknot shall be primarily processed in India and other jurisdictions where a third party engaged by Sociallknot may process the data on its behalf. By agreeing to this policy, you explicitly consent to Sociallknot processing your personal information for the purpose(s) defined in this policy. The data protection regulations in India or other mentioned jurisdictions may differ from those of your country of residence.

For example, if you wish to book an international holiday package in fixed departures (group bookings), certain personal details such as contact information, gender, dietary preferences, room preferences (e.g., smoking facility), and any medical conditions requiring specific attention may need to be shared with our vendors in each city where you will stay. These vendors may further process this information to make appropriate arrangements for your trip. Such data sharing and processing may also extend to hotels where you will stay or tour managers who will guide you during your travel.

A withdrawal of consent for us to process your information may:

• Severely limit our ability to provide services to you, potentially leading to a refusal of booking.

• Unreasonably restrict our ability to service an existing booking, which may affect your trip or even result in the cancellation of your booking.

• Visa-related services: If you request Sociallknot to provide visa-related services, we may collect copies of your passport, bank statements, original filled-in application forms, photographs, and any other information required by the respective embassy to process your visa application.

 

HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

The Personal Information collected may be used in the following ways:

1. While Making a Booking

When you make a booking, we may use your Personal Information, including payment details such as:

• Cardholder name, credit/debit card number (in encrypted form) with expiration date.

Users may also receive notifications (via email, app, SMS, WhatsApp, or other messaging services) to:

• Share their reviews (in written or video format).

• Answer questions posted by other Users.

• Participate in feedback collection after a recent booking.

The UGC posted by Users may also appear on other travel-related platforms. Each User who shares UGC will have a profile that may be accessed by other Users, displaying:

• The number of trips.

• Reviews written.

• Questions asked and answered.

HOW TO OPT-OUT OF PROMOTIONAL EMAILS?

Users will occasionally receive email updates about:

• SMS: Auto-fills OTPs for seamless transactions and mobile number validation.

• Phone: Allows direct calls to airlines, hotels, and customer support.

• Contacts: Enables social features such as sharing bookings with friends, inviting them to use the app, and sending referral links.

• Photo/Media/Files: Saves map data locally for seamless navigation, even on low-bandwidth networks.

• Wi-Fi Connection Information: Optimizes experience with better image loading and more travel options.

• Device ID & Call Information: Helps uniquely identify Users and auto-fill contact details.

• Calendar: Adds your travel plans to your calendar.

iOS Permissions:

• Notifications: Sends updates about travel bookings, offers, PNR status, and cancellations.

• Contacts: Enables social sharing and provides recommendations based on friends’ past bookings.

• Location: Auto-fills nearest airports, cities, and hotels for last-minute bookings
